The people responsible for the Kennedy Assasination were also directly involved with the development and sale of New Coke. Also, New Coke was nothing but regular coke with a different label. The formula wasn't different, but the new ads and packaging made people think that it was.
It is far reaching people. Even the Pope is involved.

New Coke was a way to make the switch from your basic refined sugars to the cheaper and more highly refined corn syrup. New Coke was just a decoy, and then 'Classic Coke' came back which tasted almost the same as the original but actually had more corn syrup as sweetener.
True story.
