What happened to Clare on Lost?

I love this new show and, unfortunately, missed a couple of the new episodes a few weeks ago. I watch it tonight, and they're talking to Charlie about how he can't blame himself for what happened to Clare, etc., etc., but they don't say what actually DID happen and I didn't see her at all in the episode.

So, what happened to her? Did she go into labor and die in childbirth or something, or did the "evil scientists" on the island get ahold of her? Inquiring minds want to know!

3. Last episode

she and Charlie were kidnapped by someone whose name was not found on the plane manifest; this person (Ethan Rom) has in the episode before, been seen hunting with Locke. Charlie was found haning by the neck from a tree; he was revived and is currently in something of a state of shock: "They only wanted Claire..."

4. So, no one knows right now

if she's dead or alive. They probably wanted her because they wanted the baby. Maybe Locke is in on it since he was hunting with Ethan?

And I agree that they are after the fetus. I don't think Locke is evil in any way, thoughly. I think he's living his walkabout; one with the earth and all that...
