What a shitty football weekend
It starts out Friday night with Collingwood getting smashed by 50 points in the AFL Grand Final (Aussie Rules 'Superbowl')

Then the Oregon Ducks get plucked by the Cougars 55-16

FInally, to add insult to injury, the Niners get beat by the Vikings. Sorry, I mean the Niners get whupped by the Vikes.

2. It was AWESOME for me!!! Vikings won, NDSU Bison shut out SDSU...
(South Dakota State, for those of you who don't know), and my HORRIBLE high school football team won their first conference game in almost three years!!!

This totally makes up for last season, where my Vikes went 6-10, My Bison went 2-8, and ditto record for my high school team.

I LOOOOOOVE PAYBACK!!!!

3. Wasn't too bad for myself
Hometown KC Chiefs win, now 4-0
Adopted hometown Denver Broncos win, now 4-0
Unranked KU (my alma matter) upsets ranked rival MU by 25

I'm not a rabid football fan, but this was a good football weekend nonetheless. :)

6. It was good for me...
my Cowboys beat the Jets (but then again who couldn't). Texas Tech won 49-45 and then UT pounded on Tulane. Woohoo!

8. I say it 60% sucked
Arizona State got beat by Oregon State, but Denver won, but Arizona lost. But Arizona State loosing is a heartbreaker.

Being a Minnesota born football fan who bleeds orange...

It was a great day for shadenfreude. Sorry. :-)

10. Agreed.
The Bucs had a "bye" this weekend. Tonight's MNF ought to be a good game. The Bears v. Packers is always a good game no matter what their game stats are.

11. The Dolphins didn't play...
I didn't bother to watch any of the other games. Although sometimes I'll watch the Bucs if they're on.

15. Great NFL weekend for me!
Redskins win.
49ers get what they deserve for firing mooch.
Bengals win a game (w00t for Marvin Lewis)

Only thing I didnt like was that the Cowboys won. That always sucks.

16. What y'all talking about?
Linfield didn't even play, much less lose, which is what makes any football weekend, by definition, "shitty."

But Saturday it'll be the annual shootout with Pacific Lutheran. You can have your Bears-Packers, Cowboys-Redskins, Michigan-Ohio State or any of those other, lesser so-called rivalries. When Linfield and PLU tee it up for their annual slobberknocker, it's Katie Bar The Door! And this year, I think I'll actually get down to McMinnville to see it.

Go Cats!
