Poll question: No Really, What's Going To Happen If The Cubs & Sox Are In The Series?
I mean it.

Really.

Both those teams are in the playoffs. If they do make it to the World Series, what will happen in Chicago and Boston?

How are people gonna react? BOTH cursed franchises in the World Series?!?!?!

Who could have ever believed it?

If you live in Boston or Chicago, how do you think your city will respond?

Will they both be happy just because they're there?

Will they fear the matchup knowing that one franchise is gonna get set free and the other is probably going to be doomed FOREVER to futility?

What's the deal?

2. Red Sox all the way
If the Red Sox and the Cubbies were to both make it to the Series, the Sox would win. This is because the Sox always get their fans hopes up, only to lose in the end, whereas the Cubs always lose. Period.

:D

6. Elcondor will be extremely conflicted!
Okay, I don't technically LIVE in either city, but I'm planning on moving to Chicago or Boston when I graduate college. Arg! I love both teams! I think it will be an enjoyable series . . . for ME anyway because I won't be stressing over who will win. I can cheer and be happy for both teams.

Anyroad, to actually answer the question, I think both teams will rejoice because as elcondor goes, so goes the nation! :D

9. Boston or Chicago would simply shut down
Edited on Mon Sep-29-03 09:24 PM by Braden
when the patriots won the super bowl some two million people showed up to celebrate on a ridiculously cold day. If the Red Sox or Cubs were to win then you would see 75% of either city not working and partying their ass off that day. The other 25% would simply die peacefully!

10. Happy either way
Hey, no Evil Empire in the equation...both deserve to win. I as a die hard red sox fan will curse you, but I will not hold the grudge for the next 100 years...let the best team win....We got the Super Bowl in my life time, I really don't dare to wish for anything more..But I do love those Red Sox.

11. Other. Meteors will crash into Earth, the oceans will turn into blood...
...and the Four Horsemen will make their appearance.

Naw, just kidding. That's what'll happen if the Vikings win the Super Bowl.

"And yay, another sign shall come from the field of gladitorial competition. The followers and subjects of those whom are of the royal appearance, and possess the colours purple and gold. They go by the name of great nautical warriors (The Vikings). And they shall obtain victory in the ultimate battle for gladitorial supremacy. Scores of populaces and villages will rejoice. And God says 'This is the moment of truth.' And it is He who will decide that war shall break out. War which of one has never seen before. Blood shall flow like water in a stream. And the first sign of the Day of Judgement shall come forth."

-Revelation 18:11
