I'm gonna regret this come mornin'
At dinner, I had sake. Quite a bit of it, and I am already feeling the effects. I have to get up at 7AM to inventory, and I am going to be sooo hungover.

At least it won't be as bad as election night....I was drunk and on xanax. God knows how I even found my apartment, lol.

1. mmmmmm sake
I love sake in the winter, but the hangovers are HELLISH.

I always find that sake creeps up on you, so it's easy to overdo it.

I hope you aren't too badly off tomorrow. . .

16. Sorry, it was a joke. You know, "For Pete's sake." Pronouncing the long
"a" in "sake," instead of the two-syllable word for the Japanese wine.

Never mind.

19. Apologies . . .

unnecessary. I'm far too obtuse to be posting before I've had my first cup of coffee.

Edited for spelling error: "to" to "too." (See what I mean about the importance of that first cup of coffee?)

8. The flavor is hard for me

to describe. It is very dry, no sweetness or tart, with a flavor unlike any other liquor. It's normally served warm or hot. Hence the term Hot Sake. It's made from rice.

The one thing I've had that tastes similar was potato skin wine.

13. It's usually termed "rice wine", but being made from a grain,
it might be closer to "rice beer". It's Alcohol content is ~15% or higher, which puts it at the fortified wines level. The best grades are really smooth, and accompanied with appropriate 'side dishes', a surprisingly large quantity can be consumed in a convival evening. Here's a good writeup, of many on the web: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sake

10. Hangover prevention
Eat 2 slices of bread, a multivitamin and a pint of water before you go to bed. You'll pee like a racehorse at about 3am, but you'll wake up fine

18. well, I lost a 100 dollar bill, while sober.
so i've been a miserable sack of shit. on top of that, i lost a 50 dollar video game i rented from blockbuster. which sucks cause now i'm going to have to pay for that too.

i think i accidentally threw them both away in a cleaning frenzy. on the bright side, my new book shelf is full, and looks wonderful.
