umm guys theres something distrubingly wrong with my iPod

If I recall correctly, if you hold down the menu and forward buttons for a minute, it will reset. I haven't done it for a while, but I think that's what I did when I had a similar problem.

Try resetting it by flipping the hold switch back and forth 5 times. I think that's what I had to do to reset mine. Just make sure you have the songs on your computer, because it wipes everything out. Good luck!

18. Have you considered calling the IPod help line?

Seriously, there are pros that might know something about your problem, and then there's DU. Give Apple a call, they might just have the quick and easy fix you are looking for.

Apple stuff is so reliable people are accustomed to think that ~they~ are the problem, when chances are, it's Apple software that is at fault. Seriously, give them a call, it shouldn't cost you anything besides time, and you will most likely get the answer you are looking for.

22. The iPod looks pretty sweet

I'd like one, but won't spend the money. I don't have much opportunity to use one now that I don't have to ride MUNI for 45 mins to get to school. I have a cheapy mp3 player which helped me maintain my sanity, but now that I have a scooter which gets me to school in 10 mins. Can't use headphones while wearing a helmet anyway...
