My opinion: Where copy-cat, humor and social posts go...

They belong in the lounge and the lounge only. This is my opinion, but this line was very clear pre-GD: Election 2004. Now, GD:2004 has been renamed GD: Politics and people think that GD is the same thing as the lounge. Here is what I think. I think GD: Politics is for serious discussion of current political topics while GD is for serious discussions of cultural, societal, philosophical, anthropological, scientific, etc. issues. Let's keep the fluff in the lounge. If I had my way, I would do away with all copy-cat and "one thought" social threads, but that is just me.


what i shoud add here is that i do not think you can legislate my last thought in banning all of the fluff and nor should you, but we need to be aware that the lounge is where the fluff should be. Like I said, just my opinion and I don't want to push it on anyone.
