A little encouraging news
The local county fair was last weekend. The local democratic women's club had a booth and so did our local Dean group. There was a huge, red tent (Bush*) on the other side of the dem women's booth and a woman was working it. Lots of people were stopping by to get info. and to register to vote. Folks in their 30's, 40's and up were registering to vote for the first time (no, I don't understand it either) and they were stating rather loudly that they were registering to vote for ANYONE BUT BUSH!

The woman working in the Bush* tent got mad and left and there wasn't anyone in that tent for the rest of the afternoon. Guess she just couldn't cope with so many people in this heavily republican area turning on the Smirking Emperor.
