can we try using a different term please? You may not have intended it to be so - but many women find the term "bitch slapped" to be derogatory to women. It can even suggest a certain approval of violence against women. (ie. "the bitch deserved to be slapped.")

Dummy slap is accceptable and genderless.

is a pretty demeaning term in itself. In fact I find it a zillion times more offensive than bitch slap - it suggests all feminists are nazis as well as being a favorite expression of the wing nuts. Speaking for myself - I am a feminist, not a nazi, a woman, and think if you want to patrol you could use a less derogatory term. In my opinion.

I understand that you don't think all feminists are Nazis. I think using the term feminazi encourages people to think it is okay to say it. If you choose to identify yourself a a feminazi that's your business - but I will always ask you not to. Why belittle yourself when you are making a request for someone to use commom courtesy? (you can reclaim a word but who knows it but you?) If people didn't use such terms you wouldn't need to feel like you are policing. It is tiring to always be the one to ask people to talk nice - if they don't like being "policed" they can stop using terms like bitch and whore. I hope you understand my muddled rantings and take it in the spirit it is written.

9. hmmmm that term doesn't bother me..

..when it's aimed at someone who is fits the description.

I see people using 'bitch' towards men more and more.. and while I still see the negative meaning in it.. Sometimes it just fits the man being attacked. In this case I believe Blair does fit the bill. In other words.. I see the meaning of bitch not being as gender specific as it used to be.

But then I am not as sensitive to slurs as others, but I do understand while some can be put off by that - hence the need to be somewhat more PC at times.
