Want a good laugh? Watch freerepublic explode over Mel Gibson
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1317840/posts

Topic of discussion:

"Does anyone have the quotes that Mel Gibson apparently made after receiving his People's Choice Award in saying he felt a "kinship" with Michael Moore and attacking the war in Iraq?"

5. I don't like Mel either...
But I somehow think that he used the RW audience to make money.

11. OMG! I missed it! I watched the whole People's
Choice Awards(Michael Moore was fantastic!) and I saw where Mel Gibson won for "Passion" and I turned it off so I would have to see him(at the very end..Rene Russo pressented the award to him)..I felt sure I knew what he was about and it wasn't being in "kinship with Michael Moore"!

I will definetly see about lifting my boycott of MG's films!

Sometimes there is a big difference between a "social conservative" and a "conservative."

There is virtually nothing liberal about Gibson. His kinship refers to the blasting of the films. He has said he thinks anyone who can (money..support..etc) should be allowed to make movies.
He has said for nearly two years he is unsure about the war in Iraq. None of this makes him a liberal. Besides liberals are not pro-life or pro family or do they support Christianity.

See, folks, he liked Fahrenheit 9/11. Says it all. And he is not religious like he claims. I could understand a rational reason in being against the war but to praise Michael Moore and the film and attack the President's reason shows what kind of person Mel Gibson is. HE IS NO CONSERVATIVE AND HAS NEVER BEEN.

13. If I hear one more lame, ignorant, idiotic, asshat comment about
how liberals don't support families or aren't Christians, I'm going to have to resort to some very un-Christlike behavior.

8. I love how they say he can't possibly be "conservative" because he doesn't
lick Bush's boots.

Like Bush is conservative? He's the most wasteful, careless idiot to ever take the oath of office.

9. Last night when MM won for 9/11 one of them said...
"It won for best drama! IT'S FICTION."

Of course he was wrong (surprise) Passion won best drama, so I guess that means it's fiction!

12. It was bizarre! F9/11 was up against Shrek II
and The Bourne Conspiracy..I thought for sure Shrek 11 would win cause it was pickin' up awards all night. Mike Myers was up on the stage way too often.

I think it surprised Michael, too! And he gave a fantastic speech about this being all our Country, too.

And he looked spiffy!
