For MLK Day: Wearing Black for Khephra

On Monday, January 17, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.

In honor of another advocate for peace, justice, and harmony among all peoples of all backgrounds, nationalities, and beliefs, I am wearing black on January 17.

Not in mourning.

But because Keph's gothic heart loved black, and wearing it is a fitting tribute to his own life and legacy dedicated to the causes we progressives believed in with all of our being.

Is there gonna be a DU virtual meeting of some sort for those of us who can't get to the service? Anybody on that? I just got here this AM.

A P.M. would be really appreciated if someone gets something going for Saturday. I won't be online much today and can't follow everything.

I know nothing about Saturday, but I think people should do whatever THEY choose to honor him. This is my choice, and I am perfectly content with people rejecting it for their own needs and wishes. :-)
