i actually think they're pretty bad this year. not bad on an absolute scale, as they're obviously a very very very good baseball team. but bad on any sort of level where you're counting dollars expended. as much talk as there is about how bad the red sox bullpen is, i'd take that bullpen over the yankees bullpen any day. mariano no longer shuts people down, and outside of mussina, the yanks starting pitching is questionable in a short series.

losing 3-0 to the Twins. a first round goodbye? does this mean steinbrenner will fire torre? maybe he can be 1st base coach for the sox.

I'm starting to think that the sooner the Red Sox or Yankees depart, the more peaceful and joyful it's going to be around here, during the playoffs.

Maybe we need to start a single Red Sox/Yankees fans bash each other to tiny slivers thread.
