Any plumbing and/or heating experts on here? |

Here's my situation: My house has hot water baseboard heat. It is a ranch. Pipes run from the furnace in the basement up to the house level and out to the baseboard heating units in each room.
What I would like to do is put add a heating unit downstairs. We have a finished basement. I would guess it would just be a matter of running another pipe to a baseboard unit in the basement, but have no idea of the cost involved in something like this. Would it be a plumber or a heating/cooling company that would do this?

3. Try and find who installed original system. |

They usually leave a sticker on some piece of the equipment. Shouldn't be too costly, depending on the size of the area you want to heat, however there are some pretty good plug-in electrical units.
