How are the Freepers reacting to TraitorGate?
Are they trying to pretend is no big deal, just a Dem conspiracy, or are they enraged that a politician would screw national security just for petty personal revenge?

Ah, but the joy of this is...
If they blame it on Clintons penis, then they have no valid way of claiming that it shouldn't be INVESTIGATED like Clintons penis.

I think they have 2 options:

- BIG distraction (LIHOP something), and hide in the distraction,

or

- Sacrifice the most expendable person possible.

The odds of them using the first option increase as the value of the least expendable person increases.

4. I just read a Maine GOP site
They say it's bush bashing, plain and simple. They're also saying they think the leak was Wilson himself to make the White House look bad. Huh???

In Da Nile, indeed.

8. they are discrediting Dems
for calling for an independent investigation..."hypocrits, they said it was unnecessary when Clinton was president" ...they are trying to say Wilson's wife wasn't a field operative and therefore it doesn't matter that she was outed.
All this from CNN shows I watched today while I was home sick with the flu.
Yes, flu season has started ...with me! :puke:

9. They think it's a conspiracy
cooked up by the Democrats. From what I've read over there they do not realize the gravity of the charges. Hopefully they're about to learn, BIG TIME.

10. Crabwalking all over the place
scuttling around. All the reasons mentioned here. But we need to keep this story "up". This is a story that will play with groups we haven't been able to reach. The average person who thinks Junior is basically "honest" and "trustworthy" needs to absorb what has happened. This is dirty tricks. This is frat boy revenge. It's ugly. It's what McCain suffered from Junior's weasel tactics in South Carolina. "Would it affect your support for John McCain if you knew his biracial child was not adopted but the child of an illicit affair?" Petty, mean hit and run politics. Also, the "NASCAR" Dads generally identify with the action hero CIA types in the movies...Seagull, Willis, Van Damme, Eastwood, Arnie, Stallone...and in this scenario, the CIA guy (gal) is being exposed by the administration. Dubya is the bad guy. Just like in the movies. The administration calls its stooges (Novak) to punish a political enemy's spouse. It's cinematic. And the Bushies are the villians. Should resonate with plenty of Americans. But only if we don't let the freeps bury the story.

11. Over at the Bartcop forum
there's a regular, Pete, who keeps abreast of the cage-rattling in Freeperland. According to him, even they realize how serious this is, but some are still finding ways of pinning it on Klintoon, libruls, etc.
