I just visited the main forum and saw a message enumerating new guidelines for posting. Does that apply to inanity posts as well?

1. No, those rules only apply to the General Discussion forum

and inane posts are not posted in GD as it is. That's what the Lounge is for.

At this time, (and hopefully for the foreseeable future) there are no special posting requirements in the Lounge. The general rules which apply to all the fora are sufficient.

• Don't call a poopyhead a poopyhead.
  
• Keep your skiivies on.
  
• Friends don't let friends post drunk.
