Republican hair

Have you noticed there seems to be an obligatory Republican hair style? Trent Lott typifies my image of the Republican hairdo: secured neatly in place with large quantities of shellac. Others, like John Thune and Bill Frist, have a similar variant of it. My question is: Do you suppose there is an official list of Republican barbers? I mean, how would one go into a barber shop and just happen to walk out with a perfectly shellacked coif?

Their theory: If you use enough hairspray it helps keep the truth from sinking in your brain. In short, it's like a protective coating.
