Is anybody else having trouble accessing Usenet?

It's odd to be able to access DU, but not Usenet. Anybody have inside information?

1. Go to Google groups

and see if you can find any recent posts to the Usenet forum you're looking for.

DU is a web-based forum. Usenet comes off of an nntp server. Could be the nntp server your service provider is using is down. Could also be that the forum you're looking for is inactive, - that happens.

2. Usenet is simply...

A collection of, arguably, the hardest working servers on earth. No merde. If you cannot access your regular server, then it is likely your regular server is down for some rest & rehabilitation. If you can access your regular server, it is quite possible that a server "upstream" from your regular server is down. In any case, call your ISP and mention your problems to them. It is quite possible that they are not aware of the problem.

I'll try the Google approach to confirm it's down. Then call the ISP.

5. It's not working for me either

My newsgroup reader is just sitting there, trying to connect to my provider and not going anywhere.

6. It doesn't seem like it's affecting anyone else.

So it's probably an ISP issue or maybe we use the same newsgroup source?
