I just remember several years ago, he called NFL QB Jim Everett "Chris" to imply that he played like a girl and Everett went after him & Rome ran away like a baby.

5. How's that qualify as RW? |
|
Acts of juvenile stupidity aren't limited to one side of the political spectrum.

8. I never said he was, just asked if he was |
|
That was the only thing I remember Rome for...

He tries to be apolitical, but from listening to enough shows, he actually seems a bit left of center.

10. There was the instance of Toni Smith |
|
the female collegiate hoopster who would turn her back on the flag during the anthem as a protest of the invasion. Rome was one of the only sports talking heads who defended her.

12. He also ripped into Bill O'Reilly quite handily |
|
When he learned that one of his affiliates dumped his show out for an hour to play O'reilly's show.

13. Nope. In 2000 he said that he wouldn't want a president stupider than him |
|
He clowns Bush when he has the chance.

14. And his show was the first place I heard Billy Bean |
|
after Billy Bean came out of the closet. I remember thinking it was weird because I had a pretty low opinion of Rome before that, but he was very engaging and encouraging with Bean. Not typical for sports radio.

4. That's probably the first thing I've ever liked that has come from him |
|
He is so annoying. I probably would go Everett on him if I ever got the chance.

9. His shtick is annoying. But I did like hearing this on his show, and I |

think he has a pretty sizeable audience.
