Last fall, I was in Hackensack, and I saw it.

Has anyone else had a similar experience.

3. You sir are no Jack Kennedy
I saw that in political science, Quayle was a total idiot. You know I got a funny story about potatoe head, my dad was a waiter in teh 1990's, and he had a republican manager, and there was a big GOP function at the marriott at which he worked, and Dan Quayle was there so my dad tells my manager, this is the best you guys got with a laugh, sigh little did we know dad, little did we know.

4. I on occasion will see...
Jim Florio bumper stickers or even "dump florio" stickers on various light poles and stoplights in my area. He hasn't been governor in over a decade so it's a bit of a blast from the past

5. I probably have some of those around here, somewhere
I was an early Dukakis supporter in 1988. I organized two precincts for him for the caucuses, and went to the state convention as a Dukakis delegate. That year, we had two people from my precinct attend the national convention as delegates-- the first time that had happened in known memory. One of them went on to be a very successful state legislator (she's assistant minority leader in the MN state house, and also my state rep, to boot).

Ah yes, good old Dukakis/Bentsen. The winning combination of a wishy-washy Massachusetts liberal and a southern moderate. You'd think that after 1960, we could come up with a new spiel.

6. Dukakis-Bentsen

A few months ago a van passed me that had a Dukakis sticker on its bumper; oldest political bumper sticker I can remember seeing on a running vehicle.

Also in my hometown there is a "Clements for Governor" (TX governor 1979-83; 1987-91) bumper sticker on a light pole at the entrance to one neighborhood. There is also a "Go Perot" sticker stuck on a stop sign downtown. I guess if you want your political message to stay around these are good places to put them!
