is a bad thing to walk to your car door through their side mirror, making it turn on its mounting (it's designed to do that) rather than doing a funky limbo routine?

I mean, there was no damage done, other than them having to reposition the mirror, in approximately zero degrees weather. The only contact between me, my car and their boat was a surprizingly mild tap on my shoulder. I feel mildly guilty, but if you are going to drive a vehicle that doesn't fit into a parking space, park it out in the back 40 with the other big rigs...
