3. when they start shutting up
When a girl your with starts talking to you less and less, and answers you in one-word answers.

When a girl stops wanting to have sex with you.

When a girl stops acting happy and mopes around a lot when she's with you.

There are others, but those are the big ones.

5. When I saw him with my best friend, going into her dorm
Obviously when I was in college, "way back when". I'd had a severe case of the flu and had been housebound for almost 2 weeks. He only called a couple of times. Then, when coming back from the doctor, I was driving by the dorms and saw him, with her, going into her dorm. Didn't have to hit me over the head with a hammer to get the point of that. And as cliche as it sounds, he was doing it with my best friend - while I was sick! Wow, thanks for the memories, hadn't thought about that pig in a loooooooooong time!

8. These usually are good signs
"I'm too busy to see you tomorrow"
"I'd love to but I've got to wash my hair"
"You're my best friend!"
"________(insert name here) is really in a crisis right now, and as a friend, I need to spend some time with him/her."
"Let's see if our relationship can survive without sex."
"We need to talk about our relationship"

18. "I THINK I have to wash my hair that night."
Emphasis added. She wasn't even sure; she thought she had to.

I'm the only guy I know who's heard that one.

10. All good.
Especially the first one. In a more general sense, be aware when they seem to spend less and less time with you because of other things going on - and don't seem to mind.

22. "We owe it to ourselves to be able to see other people."
Any sort of "greater good" message is the kiss of death. If you're the "dumpee," you probably won't see it coming.

If it's mutual, you both know that you have on your hands, as Woody Allen once put it, "a dead shark."

If you're the dumper, it's your degree of guilt that determines how much you sugar-coat the message.

23. "Sometimes I think you'd be better off without me"
My evil ex used to say that and it would drive me nuts. Chalked it up to him having self-esteem issues but now I know he was just too chicken-shit to actually break up with me.

My all-time favorite though is the line he used when push came to shove and it was move in or move on..."I need to find myself". *rolls eyes*

My response, "well if you're looking for your head you might wanta start by looking up your ass". And that was the end of that.

Sorry.... I'm bitter about relationships. I have yet to invest any time and energy on a man that's willing to stick around, and I've been at this game for a long time.

34. yeah
that would probably be a sign.

I'm pretty bitter also, I use to not be.
I've been jaded over the years. Promised the world and ended getting
burned.
I believe, I picked a good one this time. Only time will tell.
