I'm in NJ now, grew up in The Bronx and lived in Manhattan for a while.

Have eaten marvelous Greek food in Astoria, and once upon a time long long ago, had some homemade ouzo cooked up by one of the little old ladies of Astoria. :)

And I hope you're right. Aside from Spain, I also had Doners in France and Belgium, and all three were a little different. The one or two I had in Belgium were spicy as hell, but good (I think it was the sauce). I don't know what kind of sauce they put on there (in general), but I think that's part of why I liked them so much.

They seem so simple, why can't they get it right HERE?!? Hopefully this German Kebab Company will come through!

and I love moussaka

Our little Egyptian place ( Tut's) makes a decadent Macaron, which is an Egyptian version of the Greek lasagna- like dish.

I am not even hungry and I am now hungry for all of these things
