There are a lot of things going on in each of our lives, sometimes so much that we forget about those that leave little impressions on us throughout each day. Tomorrow isn't for sure (as we've especially learned these past days) but you have right now, this exact moment. Take a second and tell your fellow DUers how much they mean to you or how much they make you laugh (and make you spill Coke all over the keyboard).

You all are the milk to my oreos, the peanut butter to my jelly, and the breath of fresh air that my life needs. :hug: I love you all and I'm so proud of how we've come together for a wonderful man that most of us have never met. The world needs more people like you all. :loveya:

I've had a unique opportunity to meet people I could never have known otherwise on DU. People who've nursed me through 3 major family crises, who've let me cry on their shoulders, who've kicked me in the butt when necessary, who've shown me why I'm a Democrat, even if the "other" way is lots easier (no arguments, everybody agrees--bor-RING!

Thanks to DU and all the DUers I know and love (some, not so much, but still like...).

I feel privileged to have found this place.

When I ffel like ragging on the Admins, I think about what my life would be without DU--and it isn't as nice a life, by any means.

Not only because of its theme, but also because you can have real discussions. There is high enough traffic that you can expect that you won't have to wait days or weeks for replies. Discussed topics always come to the top so you can keep things going. Many people here are also very thoughtful and intelligent.

79. From a relative newbie

I like the DU and in particular, the DU Lounge. It's fun as it reminds me of going to my favorite hangouts and having a couple of beers with folks.

Sometimes it's like watching the Comedy Channel, Cheers, or MASH. My spouse hears me cackling a lot and often wonders what's making me laugh. I also like that you can respond on the subject line with n/t if you wish. Some of the threads have been welcoming. I'm looking forward to the day when I can start one.
