McNabb nixes apology from Limbaugh

“He said what he said. ... I’m sure he’s not the only one that feels that way, but it’s somewhat shocking to actually hear that on national TV,” the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback told reporters today. “An apology would do no good because he obviously thought about it before he said it

and more comments:

He said today that Limbaugh’s comments about his race were out of bounds and added that someone on the show should have taken him on. Among the other panelists are former players Michael Irvin and Tom Jackson, both of whom are black.

“I’m not pointing at anyone but someone should have said it,” McNabb said of the panelists, who also include Chris Berman and Steve Young. “I wouldn’t have cared if it was the cameraman.”

1. At Last!
An athlete with more brains and class than the "announcer". I'm a former Philadelphian now living in Maine, but an Eagles fan FOR LIFE! :bounce:

Limpballs' comments are right up there with"get AIDS and die". What a moron. No wonder he loves president moron! :puke:

2. I like the second part that he said
Why didn't someone step in there and question the stupidity of what Rush had said. Tom Jackson and Michael Irvin said nothing which makes the situation even worse than when we started.

It's almost like that whole team on the ESPN show have become the Rush and his Dittoheads Football Show. I wonder if Rush has a clause in his ESPN contract that says no one can disagree with him in the same manner as Rush's radio show!

4. TJ did step in
He said that Who was that guy who went to all those pro bowls, championship games, and the one making those plays with his legs? Then Rush went on about it was all defense, not Donovan.

3. I commented on this in GD...but I'll say it here too.
The quickest way for Rush to be asked to leave will be if the players in the NFL stop granting any ESPN reporter an interview. As their sources of information become dry up, other outlets will appear more informed and in touch with the players. ESPN wouldn't want that, so out El Rushbo would go...
