Illinois Man Gets 4 Tickets On I-90 In 3 Hours

An Illinois man and his girlfriend managed to rack up nearly $1,400 in speeding tickets on a trip through Wisconsin -- all within three hours.

Piotr Pac, 21, of Prospect Heights was pulled over on Interstate 90 in Rock County New Year's Day. The State Patrol said he was going 100 mph.

About an hour later, he was stopped in Columbia County for going 84 mph.

Then, 30 minutes later he was clocked and ticketed for going 77 mph in Sauk County.

And finally, while Pac was napping and his 18-year-old girlfriend was at the wheel, she was stopped for going 108 mph on I-90 in Dane County.

And apparently, the Wisconsin tickets weren't enough.

Court records show that one day after the shoe store employee zipped through Wisconsin, Palatine police pulled him over for going 71 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Pac said he knows speeding is dangerous, but insisted he's a good driver. He said he's been driving since he was nine years old in Poland.

Traffic tickets are nothing new for Pac. Records show that in Cook County, Ill., alone, he's been nailed for speeding, running stop signs and other violations 21 times since 2001.

8. I think you can get arrested for "reckless" driving, meaning about

60 or 70 miles or so over the limit. But then the state has to feed them when they are in jail.

If he is a shoe salesperson, the fines will eat up all of his salary.
