They do that to me. So, tonight I decided to do something about it. I drove to the Target and bought lots of blankets and sleeping bags. Then I delivered them to the three area family shelters and asked if they could be distributed to anyone who was turned away (typically single men).
I realize it isn't much, but it does make me feel somewhat better. Here's hoping that everyone stays warm tonight.

1. That's a very noble thing you did for your fellow man. |
|
At least it will help them fight off the cold.

2. Kudos to you. That was a good thing you did. |
|
I have to admit that cold nights do not necessarily make me think about homeless people.

6. Thank you for doing this! You brought a tear to my eye.... |
|
nothing like being exposed to the bruising elements to let you know how bad you've got it. Its not only physically hard on you but soul scarring as well.
You may have saved a life!
Very friggin' good on ya!

you made me teary. I aspire to do that same thing myself. It really isn't that hard. Lately it's been cold where I live too, and I wonder about the many people who are homeless.

...is collecting blankets for senior citizens, many of whom are turning their heat down (thanks, George!)
So you might think about them too if you have an extra blanket.
