13. 10 degrees and probably falling... in Mendon, VT
But can't complain... it's been a mild winter so far. The ski areas are hurting... no snow. We had a bit the other day, after the thaw -- it was actually 67 degrees on Thursday. Quite a swing in temps!

Winter is my time to hybernate and regroup. Sooo, have another cup o' cocoa and write your novel... (my mantra).

30. There will be multitudes of people pouring hot water on him
to thaw him out! We will definitely ensure his well being. I have thought about posting a big sign in my front yard promising a nice hot meal to the first gas man at my door. I have to say this is definitely preferable to no electricity. At least we can plug in space heaters, turn the oven on, cook, watch TV and have light (so we can watch each other turn blue).

Holy CRAP, since yesterday morning, it's been like HURRICANE PART 5! Of course the power had to go out for an hour yesterday. I was having flash backs to Hurricanes Francis and Jeannie. Talk about SUCK.

But, it's cut the gawdaweful temps down which is ALWAYS good!

Lu Cifer, we love you electricity!!! Just so long as you stay in the powerlines!

So far today we're only cloudy, but it looks like another wave of showers may be heading our way. At least it's cool enough to turn off the ac and open the windows.

28. 45 in San Francisco.
Chilly but typical for this time of the year. The temps here are remarkable stable - not a lot of wild swings, except few hot days in the fall.

Usually low 50s in January, lo to mid 60s in August...

48. Currently -7 F in Minneapolis, MN at 6:45 PM-- it's warming up!
It has actually warmed up here in the last couple hours. When I crawled out of bed around 11:00 AM, it was -16° F.

It's actually very warm in this part of Minnesota. Up near the Canadian border, they're having -40° temps during the whole weekend.

We're having a heatwave, a tropical heatwave... B-)
