14. The only time I saw him live

Was acoustic. He came to a music store in Norfolk, VA, back in 1984, to do a clinic for Ovation guitars. He sat on a stool in the store and demonstrated their latest line by noodling improvs. He invited some of us to play with him, but I was way too new to guitar to try. I did get pics, and his autograph. He was my guitar teacher's favorite.

I always associate him with laser lights and MIDI sequencers -- probably because the first I'd heard of him was the song Sequencer back in the 80's (on MTV, believe it or not).

I think Stranglehold isn't a Ted Nugent song. It was his guitarist's, Derek St. Holmes. So that, at least can ease some of the guilt for liking it. :)
