Star Trek movies - ever notice a pattern?
The odd numbered movies have more intellectual intrigue yet the even numbered ones are more action-oriented.

(You thought I meant this: The Kirk era even #'d ones were also better than the odd #'s ones, but that doesn't hold true for the Picard era, where Insurrection is a darling and Nemesis sucked a skunk's sack.)

7. Spock never dies??
By the way, whatever happened to the idea of consistency in the plot?

I never understood, was Star Trek II supposed to be the sequel to the Motion Picture or do we assume that Star Trek I was a flop and never happened?

Just one of those unanswered scifi mysteries I suppose...

Star trek2 fits perfectly after star trek1 but i need to know what you thought was inconsistent so i can explain it.

But ill explain it short here

In tmp admiral kirk takes command of the uss enterprise commanded by captain Will Decker, when v'ger approaches earth. They solve it.

5 years later

Uss enterprise has been recomissioned and is now commanded by captain Spock and used as a training vessle for cadets. Admiral Kirk takes command of it for a rescue mission (wich became much more then a recuse mission)

About Spock: Vulcans have about double the life span as humans. Humans get to about 130-140 years old. A vulcan about 240
