Has A&E been bought out by fundies?

I was watching a movie on it today....not only were the swear words removed... the scene where they did drugs was too.
However, they show Windtalkers ads with the guy saying "I'd be more useful killing Japs" all day.
Seems like a fundy trademark...drugs and swearing=bad Racism=good.

HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU CALL YOURSELF AND ART CHANNEL WITHOUT ALLOWING SWEARING??? It restricts the art when you censor it...

Our censorship laws are - dare I say - much more liberal than the US. When a cable service (ie. Shaw) takes a channel's feed directly off the satellite (ie. A&E), we're stuck with the original "shredding" of the product. However, if an individual channel (CBC, CTV, Showcase, virtually every other channel) buys the product outright, it's shown uncut in Canada.

I REFUSE to watch ANY product that's been hacked up beyond recognition, and A&E is one channel I just pass on by, regardless of how interested I am in what's being broadcast.

BBC America even hacks the swearing and drug references out of "Trailer Park Boys" (about 50% of the freakin' audio), and that's a PAID service. It's like ordering a burger, and not getting the cow part. Very condescending.
