Just found out my niece got married and her husband is being |

deployed to Iraq in six months time.
My niece joined the Marines. She obviously fell in love and now has married (at the beginning of this month). Her husband is on his way to Iraq. They have had little time together and now are apart.
My sister said that he had given her daughter an engagement ring and they had been discussing getting married. I wonder if it was pushed up on account of his deployment.
Guess I have someone else to pray for. I hope he comes back unharmed (mentally and physically). I wish that of all of the troops.
One thing I can say about my niece...she supports Bush and is walking the talk. Can't say that about all Bushies. Most are staying as far away from the military as they can.

I have a few friends over there that tell me that it's a daily struggle just to keep sane with all that's going on. They're going to be lucky to make it back without any scars (physical and mental), and marriages in which one partner has PTSD are usually doomed to failure once they get stateside. Them's the sad facts.

2. I talked to my sister about the stresses of being married |

and apart. She seems resigned to the fact that if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. My sister has spoken with this guy once on the phone.
I googled the guy and found only the announcement in the local paper.
