English teachers... I need your help.

Is this sentence grammatically correct:

"A list of congress people who voted to reject the Ohio electors."

Is it Congress People? Congresspeople? Congress-persons? Members of congress? Members of Congress?

AArrrrgggg! Ms. Tracy, my 7th grade English teacher, would be so disappointed with me.

2. Congress people isn't correct. I tend to agree with the above poster.

Congressmen and Congresswomen might be appropriate as well.

Also, that isn't a sentence. It's a fragment. Is it meant as a header?

If it's the header, the fact that it's a list is self-evident.

There's more than one acceptable way to do it. Even "A list of members of..." is grammatically correct, although a mouthful to say. But I'd go for the direct, short: "Members of Congress Who..."

Just my opinion.

3. I don't think it is correct...

I think the congress people is right, but isn't the sentence missing a verb?? I am not great with English, but I have heard the pResident speak it once or twice.

4. How about Representatives, House Representatives or ?

House members? They used to be called Congressmen but changing that to "Congress people" just doesn't sound right to my ears. I'm not an English teacher, just a native speaker of American English.
