Poll question: What to say to mean future-ex-co-worker...

Biggest backstabbing office girl ever is having her last day at work this Wednesday and I have the book everyone is signing wishing her a nice life. WHAT SHOULD I WRITE?

1. How about some cryptic quote we can find ...

something to the effect .. 'May you move on to enlighten others as you have enlightened us.' A nice subtle message.

4. how about something like....

"I hope you get what you deserve" and it may go right over her head.

and scribble a sarcasm tag (/s) at the end. Let her figure it out.

No, no, the OTHER hand! Of course you can't write when you have your fingers crossed. :eyes:

Really, why start any trouble? You may never see her again but if you do something mean, Murphy's Law could strike and you may need something from her some day. Just write a stupid message like "Good luck! Remember all the fun times in the employee lounge!" or whatever. "We'll miss you!" ("like Herpes," you think to yourself.) ;-)

8. Don't sign it at all and just "forget" or "not get around to it"

Or, if you MUST sign it for whatever reason (i.e. if she asks why haven't you signed it), then write a message that isn't obviously nasty but ambiguous, like some of the suggestions others have mentioned.

Or maybe something along these lines (and yes, they're variations of what others here have already said):
"I hope others teach you as you've taught us"
"May you get the success you've earned"

One time we had a nasty customer at Tower who left saying "I'm not shopping here anymore," and my co-worker said, "Thank you, have a nice day" -- spoken to sound like a canned retail sales-clerk pleasantry to a customer, but really meaning "thank you for deciding not to shop with us anymore." Think along those lines.

9. If everyone else hates her,

bring a bottle of champagne to work and pop it when she leaves.

Encourage her to leave a little early and share with your coworkers.

I once did that when an unpopular co-worker left.
