I hope you all have power and water and phone service again after the recent hurricane and tornadoes. This has been an interesting few weeks, and kudos to the power companies from outside Virginia who sent bucket trucks to help us. Georgia Power bailed out our North Richmond neighborhood and restored power. Wow. These guys have been on the job, and away from their families, for weeks.

We were without power and water for 7 1/2 days. But others are less fortunate. Missed DU while the power was out. MBD

3. Got power back on 10-01

4. Georgia Power have been all over our neighborhood

but then we got power back after only 30 hours.

BTW-THere is a fantastic take-out and delivery (caters too) restaurant just west of Boulevard called "Food Fanatics" we order from there all the time, too much in fact. The sort of closed up shop and have been feeding the work crews for the last two weeks. They are still getting paid to do it but they decided to do it exclusively for the crews during that time.

A very wide array of menu options and it is ALL good. Where else can you get a filet mignon with loaded baked potatoe and steamed broccoli (with a side sald and dinner bread) DELIVERED for about $16?
