I Got My First Deleted Reply Yesterday!

In GD there was a thread about the dullard Ben Stein. Someone there called him an idiot and someone else said he wasn't. So, i replied that i would challenge him to a debate, anytime on any suject, and would wipe the floor with him, since he is nowhere near as bright as he thinks he is.

Someone replied to it, and the mods deleted their reply. That's the first time i ever made someone mad enough to insult me to the point where the mods had to cut out their post.

Seems sort of like a badge of honor or something.

That was one of my many New Year's resolutions, so I still have 11 1/2 months to accomplish it.

It kinda sucks that the mods are so quick on the draw, I always miss what the disruptors say 'cause they get deleted so fast. Dammit! I say.

The funny thing is, at the time, I expected my original message to be deleted, not the angry reply that I got for my comments. I had a nice little chuckle at that. The thread was a very contentious one about K/E not doing enough to push the gay marriage issue.

That's never happened to me. I have had one post deleted, though. Have you accomplished that?

Now that I think about it, there was one post where somebody told me to fuck off that could have been deleted. But I let it stand without hitting alert and the person later edited their post. I probably deserved to be told to fuck off, that's why I let it stand.

14. No! I Don't Believe So

I had one edited to remove the name of another DU'er, even though i was DEFENDING that DU'er. It turned into a flamefest and Skinner edited just the name out of my post. But, he didn't delete the whole post.

So, this is my first experience, either way. I actually was snide, but not mean. I wasn't going to let "Ben Stein is NOT and Idiot" go unchallenged. I was actually quite surprised, given the non-personal nature of my post that someone would get upset enough to write something the mods had to delete. Prolly nothin' to worry about though. The mods know what they're doing. I just wonder what was said to me, and whether it really had anything to do with what i wrote. I guess we'll never know.
