Hollywood liberals SUCK!!!!
Where in the hell are the so-call Hollywood liberals? How can they standby and let the Arnold be governor? Is he that powerful in Hollywood, that everyone is afraid to speak out? Someone please help me to understand how this traversty can happen in a democratic and liberal State?

1. Don't buy the hype!
CA is not a liberal state. It is a moderate state. This "liberal state" had 8 years of Pete Wilson preceeded by 8 years of George Dukmejian. Before Jerry Brown it was Ronald Reagan.

This state is run by agribusiness not hollywood.

2. Angee--You read my mind
Been thinking the exact same thing. How can they allow these "people" to use their money to steal another election?

3. Hey now!
I'm certainly not allowing them. I'm fighting them.

Unfortunately, there are a LOT of stupid celeb-heads out here...

4. What can you do when Mr. Civil Disobedience Martin Sheen
says on Entertainment Tonight:

Sheen: Arnold isn't really a republican.

Reporter: but he is running as a republican

Sheen: Well (laughing) he is a lot more democrat than he is republican

so, Martin, is he more democrat because he prefers blow jobs or something? WTF?

8. No
because he is pro choice, pro gun control, pro gay rights among other things. If I was a republican I wouldn't vote for him, if I was a democrat I wouldn't vote for him.

5. They are nothing but
"fair weather friends". I actually heard it on my local news that the Hollywood "liberals" were staying out of it with a few exceptions (like Streisand) because they think it would be "kinda cool" to have one of their own kind running the state.:wtf: Also some are afraid :scared: campaigning against the groper would hurt their getting acting jobs. :puke: What principles they have, NOT! :grr:

6. I can understand why they are laying low.
Hollywood is a small town. He will try to get even with them if they do.

Bruce Willis supported me. I like his movies better than Arnold's anyway.

7. I've heard
that a lot of the actors who've come out in support (or at least not decried) of Arnold are supporting him because however limited his impact, in Hollywood, you never really want to burn the bridges of someone who may hire you or produce your picture.

I don't know how real that is, but it was ET's take on why Rob Lowe is standing up for Arnold, and they suggested it might be the reason behind many others.

Whatever they say in public, it's what they do in the voting both that matters.

However much it may or may not be true that Arnold is "not a Republican," I think he could easily be made to dance to their tune.

I don't conceive it impossible, however. I note that a lot of Europeans think they're conservative until they test that descriptor against the American political system.

9. Ummm...
Whatever they say in public, it's what they do in the voting both that matters.

Well, for most people, I'd agree with you. But Hollywood types have a much bigger soapbox than we plebs do, so what they say in public is likely to affect many votes.

That's probably why so many have kept their mouths shut; they don't want to piss off Ah-nold by openly supporting Davis, but neither did they want to go so far as get behind the Terminator.

10. You have a point,
but I'm still dubious that there are all that many people who'd vote for the guy because Rob Lowe thinks it's a good idea.

11. Disney et al are employers and would LOVE Arnold to take an ax
to wrokers' compensation so that when they work their employees 19 hours a day and they get in accidents and die, the employers can get off the hook.

12. Arnold's exploits were front page news
Not much that "liberals in Hollywood" can add to
that reporting.

Why don't you ask why Republicans are supporting
this guy? That's a more interesting argument.
