had one that started last week in the chest; was almost done when my SO brought some ebola home from his office, then the niece strain from out of state; I had the triple whammy. My immune system should be cranked for about the next ten years now, but still hurkin up the occasional bright green furry lung booger - hope yours just stays in the head.

From your list, coffee. If I need to work with a heavy cold, I have incredibly strong black-sweet coffee, my whole mind is just a fog but I can work at a spectacular rate (on mindless stuff at least) on the caffeine high and sugar rush.

Plain water in stupid quantities. As much as you can tolerate.

put on wool socks, and then bury yourself under as many blankets as you can stand to be under and go to sleep.

That usually does the trick for me. I'm not sure that medical science believes in "sweating out a cold", but I always feel immensely better the day after.
