11. I'm not saying it isn't clean

but there is a difference in clean and CLEAN. Even the best of women and men rarely get the chance to superclean their houses that often... meaning dusting of the fan blades, wash curtains, clean oven, clean grout etc. I'd appreciate that if someone did that for me while I was gone and would probably treat them extra special when I got back.

Whenever my wife is out of town is to cook up a big plate of liver and onions. She won't let me do it when she's home because the smell makes her wretch.

Alternatively, I'll make a batch of pork hocks and sauerkraut. For that I have to promise to open the windows because the aroma does tend to linger.

The trick really is to undercook it just slightly. Over-cook the liver and you might as well be eating the soles of your shoes. Cooked until it's ever-so-slightly pink, and it retains its natural flavor. And turn it with a wooden utensil and not a fork -- that causes the juice to run out.

I know that for people who don't like liver, the aforementioned will sound like a page from Jeffrey Dahmer's cookbook, but what the hell, it's an acquired taste.
