I'm wearing my vintage Winnipeg Jets t-shirt as I type.

But with that new state-of-the-art 16,000-seat arena they're building in downtown WPG, hopefully they'll be able to attract a new NHL team.

15. That would be great
I've actually thought there should be a Canadian only league. The quality of the hockey would be fantastic.Let the NHL keep pandering to people who have no clue about the game. The Canadian league would be for us hardcore fans :)

Let's brainstorm what cities could be in the Canadian Hockey League:

Atlantic Division:

Halifax
Quebec
Montreal
Ottawa

Eastern Division:

Toronto
London
Hamilton
Sudbury

Midwest Division:

Thunder Bay
Winnipeg
Regina
Saskatoon

Pacific Division:

Edmonton
Calgary
Vancouver
Victoria

That seems pretty good. Now you got me thinking...:-)

20. It'd be the greatest hockey in the world, my friend.
Let those southern cities choke on their sub-par players and one-third-filled crowds. Put hockey where hockey THRIVES!!!

Then again, we could also keep some northern American cities (New York, Boston, Detroit, St. Paul, Buffalo) and have an American hockey league (not to be confused with the current AHL), and the best teams from both the Canadian and Northern US leagues could play each other in a "continental hockey series" of some sort.

Even better yet, we could have the top teams in each country's league play in a world champion's league every other year, like the one that exists in European soccer!!!

16. A logo should be simple and easily identified
All the recent ones royally suck, like the new uniforms. It's as if these kids coming out with graphic arts degrees think it's supposed to be like an action movie, ridiculously complicated with something exploding in every section of the uniform or logo.

The best logos are classic ones that can be sketched in about 5 seconds, like the Bears or Colts or Vikings (the logo on Minnesota's helmet not the one you feature here).
