Garner: "No. I think the Donald Trumo wedding would be more interesting."

Yay! I knew I'd been in love with him since I was five and he was Maverick for a reason! I've always thought he was the ultimate male.

4. I think he did something about it tonight. I don't know whether he's done

anything about it in the past. Unfortunately for me, I'm not in contact with him. I don't think it's fair to assume he hasn't done anything, contributed, or whatever else he might be up to.

The Democratic party doesn't seem to think we're in the majority, even if I do, too.

5. Leno made no such insinuation, and it seemed obvious that it was

set up to play out the way it did. Leno seemed to be a willing conspirator. I've seen him do this many times before.

Though I agree, I think she might be assuming the repugs today are the republicans of the 50s... I wouldn't have been a republican if I were voting then, but I sure as hell have a lot more respect for the "old" republican party than what it has devolved into today.

until I made a convert out of her. Same age, roughly. And Doris has done a lot for animals, and I bet if somebody got some important differences out to her, she might change her mind, if it still functions well. Nothing nasty implied by that.

Somewhat strangely, or maybe not, is the fact that SamElliott, the guy who took over the "Beef, it's what's for dinner" commercials after Garner had heart surgery, is also a Dem.

32. Oooo! You are lucky. My brushes with them have been not

completely direct. Garner came to a restaurant in Santa Monica once where I was having a mid-afternoon lunch with my husband, we were the only people there, when in walked James Garner to have lunch with a friend. They seated them in the table opposite and dirctly next to us, so I was seated in such a way that if I looked up, I'd have to look at him, a tough thing I assure you. I'd been in love with him since I was five, but actually didn't want to stare at the guy. He nodded and smiled at me as he came in, and then was relieved when we only smiled back at, and didn't invade his privacy ala Lucy with William Holden at Sardi's, I believe. He sweetly flirted with the elderly waitresses, who were about 25 years older than he, at that time. Sam Elliot lives in Malibu, and is very much a horse person, allright. He used to come through the hills to load up his trailer at the feed store in our town, where I also shopped for my equines at the time. The owner told me how great a guy he is, and that he used to insist on helping load the hay bales himself. I'm also glad to find that he is a Dem.

When I lived in Malibu, Jim used to frequent our little piece of the beach. On the 4th of Julys, he'd set up a little fireworks for our kids. I did my 'swan song' film with him and the last day of production he showed up at my truck with a paper sack. It was a bottle of wine from the place he used to have in Ojai - "Chateau Jimbo".

I did 'Yellow Rose' with Sam. He and I plotted to get a certain director drunk one night, thinking it might improve his disposition. Trudging over the hills of Lancaster the next day in the heat was 'excruciating'. Along with his lousy personality, the director had an unusual capacity for booze.

I really mean it when I say I was lucky. I loved my job and had some great experiences doing it.
