With special thanks to all the evilDUers ;) who wrote congress, Sec. Powell, the UN, and signed online petitions to get Congress to acknowledge the genocide and get moving to help those under attack in Sudan, I wish to share the good news I got today from Tucson.
John Majok works with my daughter. He spent part of the summer as an intern in AZ Congressman Kolbe's D.C. office. I posted about him a few times. John in an amazing young man. He works every day to help save his people. He works toward the day he can take his education home and help rebuild a country.
Here is his latest news. Please join me in congratulating him and wishing him well in his future endeavors.

I can’t wait for that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Sincerely, John Thon Majok"
John, if you are reading the DU with us tonight, know I am SO happy for you and so glad you came into the lives of my sister and my daughter. You have been more of an inspiration than you can know. Knowing a bit about the journey you have made so far, I understand better the meaning of humanity, courage, strength, and grace.
Best of luck on the next part of your journey. Live long. Touch many. Laugh often.
Congratulations, Mr. Majok.
