I feel in a rut.
I left a full-time job last year, and have been doing a technical consulting job since (plus a few other small jobs). The pay rate is decent although the work is sporadic. It allowed me to take a big vacation, and rest from my previous soul-sucking full-time job.
Ok, now the work has dwindled. But the same company asked if I would do another project for them (not in my field) for less than half the pay. I agreed because I am running out of money, but this is the impetus to look for a full-time job (contract or perm).
Anyway, it turns out the new project is horrible. Partly because I am having to go through a project manager type, and not the actual client. ANd the computer systems and databases are impossible to use without training, which I don't have, which would not be such an issue if I worked with the actual client. Arrrggghhh!!!
What to do, what to do?
I have a job interview next week. I can usually find a new job within 30 days of when I start looking.
Oh well.
