I haven't seen the sun in three weeks.
Nor the moon, nor blue sky or stars. Man this is depressing :(

1. Prison or lake effect?
They can surely seem like the same thing often enough.

2. Inversion layer
Foggy at night, fog rises a few hundred feet to become a low level cloud layer during the day. It's like an unbroken gray ceiling stretching from horizon to horizon.

3. I think we've taken your share of sunshine
The world here in NY is a sparkling delight, as wind-blown snowflakes reflect the sunlight. Of course, it's about zero degrees, so no one is outside enjoying it....

4. It's in the mid 50's here, and nobody is enjoying it either.
Weather.com is predicting a possible break in the weather by next Thursday, but even then the humidity will be at about 80% so the odds are that the sky will simply change from grey to bluish grey. Argh!

Give us our sunshine back! California isn't supposed to be this dreary!

The Chicago lakefront had a solid grey wall on it--looked like a giant mountain!
