Jack Van Impe - Saint or crackpot?

So I saw his show the other day. The guy's a total nutter! He and that weird woman next to him. And she grins. It's bad enough that she has a goofy hollow expression on her face, but the grin caps it totally. Very haunting.

And they seem to be happy that they are thinking that Christ's 2nd coming is nigh. That's how I'm interpreting their kookiness.

Wacky.

Of course, Bush was sent by God. (this must be why Allah has control of karma and our economy right now...?)

6. I watched his show in hgih school

I thought that maybe he did have a point about events in the world suggesting the upcoming endtimes. I thought that was all rather interesting. Then I read his book which suggested that I was involved with the anti Christ. He said that names and places that add up to 666 are involved with the anti Christ when A=6, B=12, C=18, and so forth. My first, last name, and middle initial equaled 666 just by chance. I didn't watch television much in college but mentioned something to my husband about him. He said "That guy is a major a**hole. Our boy scout troop helped with one of his speaking events. He was a total jerk. People often show their true colors in person.

My partner is an intern (planning on psych residency - and with a few psych rotations under her belt). She and I like to argue whether he's a total nutjob (her position - but not her terminology!), or a fantastic con-man.

If you watch the whole show, you'll realize that it's just an infomercial masquerading as an evangelical pitch masquerading as a news broadcast! It's all set up to sell his videos which "tell much more than he can say on the air."

I love to watch! And since he's in almost in the neighborhood (Troy, Michigan, if I remember), I've considered dropping in on the studio parking lot sometime to say "Hi, I love your show" and see if I can catch a glimpse of the true Jack underneath all the hairspray.

It really is great entertainment... you owe it to yourself to try at least once. It's way funnier than SNL (than again so's just about anything one can think of).

REXELLA! Can't get through one sentence of a news story without stumbling or stuttering. My god, you'd think after all these years she would have gotten that reading thing down.

I love his shit-eating grin while talking about the death of millions at the hands of the lord! And he always follows these things up by saying something like "Oh what a blessed time to be alive, believers!"
