Tim C*, (a guy I worked with in Medway Cable Access, years ago) would always get defensive when you knocked the pond, and you could not get him to admit how crappy the water was and how undermanaged the park in general was.

For countless generations of Medwayites who have swum in the pond.

The pond is permanantly brown from miles of rotting leaves in the brook that feeds the pond.
