I am a teacher in an elementary school. Everyday a teacher makes popcorn for the teachers to snack on. We have a real popper, not microwave popcorn. Well, today was my day to make popcorn. My first batch got a little "well done". It was still edible, but a little burnt. I dumped out the burnt stuff and then the fire alarm went off. I went into the hall and all of the classrooms were going outside. I ran to the office and tell them that I set off the alarm making popcorn. Then I went back to the popcorn popper to clean up and I heard fire trucks coming. I didn't get in trouble, but it was very embarassing.
Then about 30 min later, my class went to recess. I went to the hall with my thermos of coffee. Then a Kindergartner asked me to zip her coat. I knelt down and set my coffee right by my feet and started to zip up the girl's coat. Then a kid walked by and accidently kicked my coffee down the hall, spilling half of it all over the hall. I spent most of the recess cleaning that up.
I had lunch room duty and a 1st grader knocked his lunch tray off the table and it almost landed on me. I reached out with 1 arm (cause I was carrying something at the time) to try and catch the tray, but I couldn't hold on and it landed on my feet.
They say things happen in 3's, so there are my 3 bad things that happened to me today. Whew, I am glad the day is over.
