Debbie Gibson, the Britney Spears of the 1980s, is launching her pop comeback by shedding her togs for Playboy. Take note, Christina.


No, there's none of that Kylie-esque targeting of the gay market for Miss Gibson.


Gibson, who is unbelievably still just 34-years-old, has decided that dropping her knick-knacks is the best way to promote her comeback tune, Naked.

I remember the Debbie Gibson (good girl) vs. Tiffany (slutty girl) feud in the 80's. I was so torn between the two of them. Debbie was so sugary sweet, but Tiffany was naughty. And she had red hair (which just INTENSIFIED her naughtyness) and THEN she was emancapated by her parents...which meant she could have beer at her parties.

but when she went on Howard Stern, she was surprisingly one of the coolest guests. Nothing phased her -- she just laughed everything off. And she brought her mother, who was a trip. Said when her boyfriend asked to stay over, she was in the kitchen chopping carrots and said sure, as long as he stayed in the basement with the door locked. And just kept chopping those carrots.

Gave a measure of respect for her.
