What's your favorite kind of tea?

I am sitting down to lapsang souchong. It's the perfect thing for a chilly fall evening. The leaves are smoked over fire and the tea has a lovely smoky flavor. What's your favorite?

Especially Bewley's, very strong, with milk.

I use a french press now to make my tea. I order Bewley's by mail; I can only find tea bags around here and I like the loose tea.

2. I like Darjeeling and Kee Mun.

I have had some excellent lapsang suchong, but can never quite get past how much it tastes of kippers.

I love the Administrator EarlG, - But the tea Earl Grey I refuse to drink anymore. If I wanted to suck down a cup of bergamot, I'd tipple Jean Naté and be done with it.

7. Another Earl Grey lover here.

Although I prefer good coffee, I like a cup of tea from time to time. Earl Grey is my favorite, but I've never tasted bad tea. All good, just some is better than others.

8. Mmm...tea. I like a mix of Spring Tea and White tea

mixed in fairly even proportions. Nice, mild flavor, with an aroma reminiscent of Hawaii. Very soothing, very relaxing, and sadly very expensive, but all good teas are. :-)

19. You like the notorious "stinky tea"!

My husband is a tea man and once he ordered that particular tea. I thought it was the most horrible smelling stuff in the world. It is now banned from the house and permanently known as stinky tea because it makes me nauseas. The worst was when he spilled it in the car- yuck!

I'm not much of a tea person, but I do like a few herbal and floral varieties every once in awhile.

On edit. In case I sounded like a jerk, I'm sorry. I just want to let you know that I do believe we are all entitled to our own individual tea choices and likes. I'm just really sensitive to smells and have a wimpy stomach.

you don't sound like a jerk. Everyone likes different things. I can think of lots of things that make me sick, but others around me love (like pork). I think it is neat that some things are delicious to some, but disgusting to others.

Any mint; most often, catnip or peppermint.
Lavender flowers.

rose hips
elder flowers

Always drank my coffee and tea without it, but it DOES add something to the tea experience...I don't do it every time, but I do like it on occasion.

enough caffeine to really get you going, too. Celestial Seasonings makes a mate mix called morning thunder, but I once had a grad student from Paraguay. She had a special gourd, every morning she stuffed it with Yerba Mate (I think the gourd is the Yerba, actually) poured in boiling water, stuck in this lovely engraved silver straw, and sipped that, like all day - adding hot water as needed. It's very fragrant, and a really nice way to get your caffeine if for some odd reason you're not interested in coffee.

It's the Tetley's of Ireland, but so much better than American tea. It's very strong to start with -- one bag makes a pot in Ireland -- but I use one bag per cup and drink it from a pretty teacup I bought in Arklow, County Wicklow. I pay $9 or $10 a box for it. My partner's Irish relatives always bring several boxes for me whenever they fly in from Ireland. I'm drinking some now.

I have been drinking any kind of green tea for three years. I have no flu, no colds, only one in the family not to get any infectious things. (and yes I have kids who pick up everything) I drink one cup a day, am drinking the celestial seasonings stuff now, not great, but I choke it down.

First thing when I get to work, I make a big mug with four tea bags. Stash brand. It's the only kind that actually looks green. The first swig of the day tastes like beer and the bitterness makes me wince, then I enjoy it throughout the day.
