Seriously, I am the BIGGEST pig when it comes to Chinese food...sweet and sour chicken, soup, veggie fried rice..ohhh god.
As for authentic food, nothing beats salmon (sake) sashimi and tuna sashimi...yummy:9

5. Italian!
Seafoods, antipasta, beef, lamb, chicken......... I've also come to appreciate Vietnamese. Two brothers I became friends with came over in 1973 and now own a restaraunt in Tampa. They bring at least two dishes a week to our tailgate! Subtle nuances of heat and cool, savory and sweet rock their dishes!

7. My parents live right outside of Tampa in Sun City.
I have been to Jesse's in Brandon for king cut prime rib rare and Shells in Brandon for seafod. Both kicked ass. Superb calamari appetizers at Shells. The crab cakes were superb also.

8. Salad, salad, salad...
I'm innocent, 'cause I like meat, too. And I smoke and don't have to care about what I eat at all. But I like nothing as much as green salad with cold pressed olive oil, white-vine-vinegar, salt and pepper. Don't care about balsamico-vinegar at all and the worst thing that was ever done to humanity was the invention of ready-made "salad-dressings". Puke.
Salad, salad, salad...
Hello from Germany,
Dirk

12. If you ever get to Chicago
Make sure to eat at Berghoff's German restaurant. It is right next to the Blackstone theater on State street. Viener schnitzel is superb.

18. o.k. o.k., I do, although...
I'm not unprejudiced towards Austria - Wiener Schnitzel - (we imported one of our "leaders" not so long ago from Austria.)But after they started to export their guys to California:-)...
But Wiener Schnitzel is still o.k.
And Blue Cheese dressing was about the only o.k. ready-made salad dressing ever created. The germans never bought it, 'cause they got the term "mould" somehow wrong. So I simply have to travel to Chicago again.
(I'm a liar, I've seen nearly every part of the USA, but I never travelled to Chicago!)
Dirk

17. The espresso I had in Spain I loved.
I went there in 1973 as a teenager with my Dad and Grandfather. We went to Nijar the hometown of my grandfather. They eat churros over there with hot chocolate for breakfast. Paella kicks ass too.
