Then again, the Stones have been in decline for longer than they were good.

I guess the easiest way to say it is: The Stones had the better peak, The Beatles had the more consistent career.

They were singing "Time is on my side" when the Beatles were singing "She Loves You." One is a timeless blues classic, the other drove teeny boppers wild.
